Every lady loves to paint their hands and feet with Mehndi.

Brides are always excited to select their designs. But do you know where this henna or Mehndi culture came from and how? Let’s take a look at a short history and reasons for it.

Well, it came from Egypt, the earliest cosmetic use of Mehndi, where the people would dye their hair and nails, and a Pharaoh’s fingers and toes got dipped with Mehndi paste before their mummification. Then, they started painting, as they discovered the medicinal way of it, i.e. cooling the nerves of the body, and prevents stress to come up.

And, this is the main reason for using Mehndi at weddings for brides and grooms as well. Mehndi looks very traditional and royal, and also it is a medicinal herb.

It prevents the wedding to be stressful, headache, and fevers to bridegrooms. And also the color and smell of Mehndi boost the romance between the couple in the initial days.
