Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015

This year’s first season of Lakme Fashion Week 2015 is celebrating 15 years of fashion now with becoming one of the top fashion events in the country. The venue has been The Palladium Hotel, Mumbai since this is its 2^nd season as the official venue of Lakme Fashion Week after the Grand Hyatt. The event begins from the 18^th March to the 22^nd March 2015. Sabyasachi will open the season with an offsite show on the 17^th of March, opening the fashion fiesta with his traditional and enchanting designs on-ramp. Manish Malhotra showcases The Blue Fashion Runway launched by WeVolve for the global campaign at the Curtain Raiser, showing his designer creation collection t be showcased on an offsite venue as well. And we will have the Grand Finale showcasing by the Queen of Drapes and silhouettes Anamika Khanna.

The grand opening of Lakme fashion show 2015 took place on 17th March 2015 at an offsite venue at Richardson & Cruddas, which shook the ramp to glamming designer wear in floral in pastel theme as well as the bling effect which Sabyasachi is well known for was glimpsed in his latest collection at LFW 15.

Summer/resort 2015 has wound up some pretty talented designers hyping a new trend to last some coming years ahead, the known Gen Next show of new emerging designers of INIFD sends out a clear trend, Gen Next Designers, Manish Bansal, Priyanka Ella, Lorena Lama, Salita Nanda, Alan Alexander, Ankit Carpenter, Kanika Goyal.

Lakme Fashion Week 2015 Day 1

After the opening show hit the 20's era come back with a bang of Sabyasachi designs the starting off Day 1 at Lakme Fashion week was remarkable with Jabong Stage presenting Sculpt by DRVV and others following the whole day event. The launch of the Lakme Pro App by Shraddha Kapoor had heads turned at the simple and acquitted Actress.

The well-known Masaba had her creations running down with the perky styles on Instagram. Nargis Fakri presented as the showstopper in the powder pink and green outfit adding flavor to the collection. Another wonderful collection to watch out on Day 1 is the Frou Frou by Archana Rao, a collection with colors in the green, reds, rust, ochre, blues all in a fusion of boho style and western silhouettes. And the day ends with the starling Blue Runway by Manish Malhotra.

The use of blues in forms of fabrics, embroideries in different materials, and as well as cut patterns bring bold statements. Lakme Fashion Week 2015 Day 2

Jabong Launches Miss Bennett London and brings the fashion vibes to India. The show presented has Shraddha Kapoor walking in and Pink glowing sequins dress, the collection in crop tops, dresses, track pants, trimmed pants with graphics, and florals the statement of young girls and stylish icon fashion.

Gaurang Shah presented his love for traditional Indian Fabrics, Silk is his weapon of fashion and plays a better way out in exotic silk saree collection, also read on the ancient making of Silks of Benaras. Vidhya Balan walked down the ramp in this lovely pastel lavender and golden silk saree, and the collection seems to attract floral weave and artistic prints, and colors of the season blended out well.

In the Show of the Night, Raghavendra Rathore tributes the Indian Handlooms and celebrates Textile Day on Stage with his rich and revolutionary collection at LFW 2015. Ritesh Deshmukh dressed in the Traditional yet elegant Avatar by Raghavendra, the collection meets its origin roots.

Lakme Fashion Week 2015 Day 3

The third Day brings up really great talent, some fresh faces, and some who began careers with the LFW stage. Babita Malkani brings another Indo chic inspired collection with prints effects. Jabong Presents Tom Tailor who has the heart-throbbing Aditya Roy Kapoor in his casual essence of fashion which the collection itself springs out, a wearable pret e porter.

Gauri Khan for Satya Paul works her way into the Designer Business with an outstanding collection and fills up the definition of design skills in her line collection. The sheer fabrics and the growing motifs to galactic inspiring theme blend in the way of summer resort wear.

Nikhil Thampi has sprung up the rhythm at the Lakme once again with his statement designs bourn. Another style trend that struck me was the Quirkbox, really did justice to its Collection name, architectural print invasion and colors spread the pretty quirky pattern styles. Silhouettes in western and bold statement enough to be called wearable yet super stylish.

Jabong stage presents Neha Agarwal, she presents her line collection of the season clearly reflecting the resort wear category with blooming colors of the trend year and pretty simple and aesthetic silhouette mixtures. Well drafted prints and colors, Karishma Kapoor walks as the Showstopper.

Lots of Top designers are showcasing their talent on Day 4, Anushree Reddy once again spills the floral bloom with her signature styles of fashion. Her last season’s collection has left quite a tremendous effect on floral fashion in prints and golden embroideries of ethnic lines, view her Lakme Fashion Week W/F 2014 Collection to see her lovely signature styles.

Arpita Mehta brings in the match of natural tones with neon. Working on mirror work which has been still trending, she chose to get creative with silhouettes and embroidery work. The base is the earthy tone of beige and sandstone to the neon sparkling effect on ethnic wear and western wear.

Pankaj and Nidhi, Aarti V. Gupta, Ken Ferns work on the quirkiness, with colors and prints. Ken has his collection with mix-match prints as a new concept, with summer flowers and geometric stripes of horizontal, vertical lines.

Payal Singhal who seems to have won the hearts of the dozens earlier, and personally my Fav designer on Spot, brings out another creative Indo style line collection with her silhouette styles touching the ethnic and western outfits. Plays simple with naturals and pastel theme, those prints are in there is a creative version and the lovely use of fabrics, Tamanna Bhatia walking in an outfit which brings the version of embellishments that dazzle on her simple outfit look. Colors like peach, beige, sandstone, grey, white, cream play a major role.

Known designer Nishka Lulla presents her collection in an urban design theme, the use of minimal color, keeping the bright in and pastel together. Making sheer beauty for urban fashion with outfits for the summer resort to bring in the urban-chic style. Suneet Verma closes the night with his charismatic designs of wedding and bridal wear.

Lakme Fashion Week 2015 Day 5

Jabong stage presents the most awaited collection Madsam Tinzin which brings fashion style with silhouettes and patterns in a stylish frame. Ridhi Mehra's collection for Jabong Stage is another creative version that’s visible in her collection. Last year’s collection also hit the fires and Ridhi has been working fabulously with work placement concepts, take a look at the collection of LFW 2014 by Ridhi Mehra. This time she focusses on the plains and pastel colors with metallic glamour of embellishments.

Last Year’s debut went was a great success for Mandira Bedi as her designs reflect the bling as she says, see her collection Mandira Bedi LFW 2014, She comes back with another creative line collection. Wendell Rodricks makes up better for the resort wear fashion and uses his elements of fashion to grace up the line collection in ultra-style.

Coming closer to the evening and bringing the magic of summer resort wear 2015, Tarun Tahiliani fills up the vibes of the whimsical fashion which gives a new phase to his personal signature styles. Using Indo western silhouettes patterns is his own style but using prints and patterns in the quirky perk style with the colors of resort warmth.
